Free advice and support (EAP): The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a professional counselling service that offers confidential, short-term support for a variety of work-related and personal problems that may be affecting you at work or at home. The EAP gives you access to qualified professionals to help on a range of different concerns related to managing personal issues, strategies to deal with conflict and difficult situations, nutrition and lifestyle advice, financial counselling, family assistance, and career development and planning.

All employees can access the EAP program and counselling can be provided in person or by phone/ chat.

End of trip facilities: Some TEG offices have end of trip facilities available to staff – for example, showers, free towel services, secure bike parking, lockers and hair dryers/ straighteners. Check with your local Office Manager to see how you can gain access. Fitness challenge/ group classes: From time to time TEG launch a Fitness Challenge to help kickstart healthy habits and contribute towards the wellbeing of our staff. Sometimes, instead of a challenge, we’ll ask staff for their feedback on a program or set of group classes. For example, we ran a six-week yoga class in the Sydney office in 2017. Bupa health discounts (Aus only): Bupa are our health and wellbeing partner (in Australia only) and provide a corporate discount on private health insurance in addition to a range of other benefits, these include some of the following: Bupa are providing us a corporate Health Insurance Offer and Discount this includes the following:

  • 2 & 6 month waiting period waiver on extras and 6 weeks frees
  • Complimentary wellness resources.
Flu vaccinations: TEG provide free flu vaccinations to staff as part of our health and wellbeing program. For larger offices (over 25 people), flu vaccinations are provided in the office by a trained nurse. In smaller offices, staff are encouraged to get a flu vaccination from their local GP or Pharmacist and claim the expense back through Concur. Emails are sent out each year before flu season providing guidance on dates and times.

WHEREFIT:

Our partnership with WHEREFIT gives you access to discounted corporate rates on fitness, that are guaranteed to be lower than those offline. WHEREFIT works together with local gyms and studios across Australia to bring us discounted access to a diverse range of online fitness programs and gym memberships. Live streamed and on-demand classes are available across a wide variety of fitness types. Learning

Education assistance and leave: We are committed to providing financial and study assistance to employees interested in pursuing business specific education to advance their career. Staff can apply for certification (e.g. CA/CPA, practicing certificate) or assistance in pursuing further study (e.g. a Bachelor/ Masters). For approved study, financial assistance is provided as well as time off to study. You can read more about your eligibility to apply in the policy here.

Job rotation on special projects: Each year TEG delivers events across the world with the Department of Veterans Affairs to recognise the service of the men and women who fought for our freedom. Staff are nominated by their manager/ SLT member to attend the trip – all expenses paid by TEG (including business class flights!).

Secondment to major clients and/or events: In addition to the DVA trips, we provide opportunities for our staff to go on a secondment for a particular client or event. For example, we seconded a staff member to Rugby League World Cup to provide on-the-ground services to our client. Another staff member worked closely with our client, GOLDOC, to deliver the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

Professional membership: Professional development is critical and relies on you being kept up to date with legislative and industry changes. TEG provides reimbursement for professional membership or licenses to eligible employees. You must seek approval from your manager before processing an expense claim.

Lunch and Learn: The Lunch and Learn series is run monthly and is an opportunity to come together and collaborate on emerging trends, get intel on exciting projects happening across the business, celebrate business wins and just get to know each other a bit more.

Community

Quarterly CEO update: Each quarter, Geoff Jones pulls the team together in person and via video call to provide an update on our wins, feedback from clients, upcoming events and company intel. We also take the time to in these gatherings to celebrate our service and GEM award winners!

GEM Awards: We regularly recognise team members who go above and beyond when delivering work with our Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Awards. With nominations sought from all levels of the business, the GEM Awards are a great way to express your gratitude, and recognise the performance of extraordinary individuals. Nominations are open all year round. We will send a reminder before the next CEO Update is announced – look out for an email reminder. Charity partnership with CanTeen: TEG is proud to work with CanTeen to support ‘Side of Stage’, a national initiative conceived by The Hilltop Hoods to give young people affected by cancer special access to live music shows across Australia.

The TEG Live and Dainty teams work with CanTeen to provide children and teenagers suffering cancer and their families a glittering and exciting night out, a short respite from what is an incredibly challenging time.  For more information, please see Side of Stage.

Friday drinks: From time to time, TEG puts on some after-work drinks for staff in the kitchen/ communal area. This is an opportunity to connect with your fellow workmates and reflect on the crazy week it’s been. Please remember: The Drug and Alcohol Policy and Our Code apply during work drinks. Stay safe and drink responsibly.

End of year celebrations: At the end of each calendar year, TEG organise end of year celebrations across the world in each of our locations. There’s usually a theme and some fun entertainment too – Putt putt, karaoke, sideshow alley games etc.!

Service awards: You’ve been here for how long? TEG recognises employees who have reached a significant service milestone (e.g. 5, 10, 15, 20 etc. years with the company). Staff are announced by Geoff at the CEO Update and receive a gift voucher up to $500. See the Employee Awards Policy for more.

Paid parental leave: TEG offer paid parental leave to eligible staff in Australia and New Zealand. Have a look at the Company Paid Parental Leave Policy to find out if you can access up to 8 weeks paid leave (for primary caregivers) or 2 weeks paid leave (for non-primary caregivers/ partners). This benefit is in addition to the Government paid parental leave scheme

Qantas Club Corporate Scheme: We have a partnership with Qantas offering a discounted membership  of to the Qantas Club.  Discounts apply to both the joining fee and yearly membership fee.

Employee Referral Program: Good people know good people! We encourage employees to refer outstanding and suitably qualified people for our open roles. Check the eligibility criteria for referrals in the Employee Referral Policy. If you refer someone, they get the job (and pass their probation!), you’ll get a reward valued at $300.

Superannuation plan (AMP): We have a partnership with AMP as our default super provider in Australia. Under this plan, TEG pay for our employee’s premiums for death and TPD insurance.
