Service Awards
Service Awards recognise individuals who have reached a significant service milestone in their employment with TEG. These awards celebrate the accomplishments, commitment, and dedication of our long-serving employees. The awards begin at five years of service and go up in five-year intervals – e.g. 5, 10, 15, 20 years of service, up to 20 years and then in ten-year intervals thereafter. Employees must have continuous and uninterrupted service to be eligible.

| 5 | Certificate |
| 10 | $200 |
| 15 | $300 |
| 20 | $500 |
| 30 | $500 |
Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Awards
The GEM Awards recognise the extraordinary efforts and contributions of our people. The award is given to team members who go above and beyond when delivering work across the business.
Nominations are accepted all year round; however, reminders are sent out prior to the CEO update. There are three nomination classifications:
- Employee – nominated by a Manager
- Peer – nominated by an employee or Manager
- Team – nominated by a Manager
Nominations recognise people whose contribution is strongly aligned with our core values: excellence, innovation, teamwork, commitment, empowerment, and passion, as well as our service philosophy of ‘One Team’.
All nominations are reviewed by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and a vote is used to determine the winner from the nominees or to select an additional nominee who may not have been formally nominated but is deserving of recognition. In circumstances where votes are deadlocked, the CEO will make the final decision.
Managers and employees are fundamental to the nomination process and should nominate employees from any part of the business who have delivered against our values.
The nomination process opens prior to the CEO update, and employees are notified via email of the timeframe for nominating employees for the GEM Award.
Winners will be announced at a CEO Update or notified directly if no CEO Update is scheduled.
